About Pinkenba
Pinkenba is a coastal town within the City of Brisbane with a population of 368 residents. The suburb is located 10 km from Brisbane’s central business district. It is basically a long strip of land on the northern side of the Brisbane River.
Pinkenba is mostly used for industrial purposes except in the town center, which has a small residential area. The suburb is the site for Shell’s Pinkenba Terminal, which includes its state office, lubricant and grease manufacturing facility, bitumen plant, fuel storage units, and many warehouses.
The location is also a site for BP’s Bulwer Island Refinery. There are no schools in the area as it’s mostly an industrial land, but there are state schools in the nearby suburbs.
